    My Windows Media Player was burning complete albums now it is dividing the burn into disc1 disc2 disc3. These different disks hold 2 or 3 3minute songs. How can I stop these extra discs from happening. The CD no longer burns correctly. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

    WMP won't burn a CD

    I ran both diagnostics (it looks to me like the first two are the same) to no avail.

    WMP still stops the burn with the same error window, but if I restart my PC and then open WMP and sample each mp3 or wmp file in the burn list, most of the time it will start burning.

    Is there anything else I should try?

    Burning Files To cdr

    I tried to drag a .txt file to the burn list, as suggested above, but it will not drop in. I get a message "+add to burn list" but I cannot get it to drop into the burn list. Is there another step I am missing?

    WMP won't burn a CD

    I am running Window 10 on a desktop PC with all the latest updates (I think.)

    I've been trying to burn a CD and get stopped after numerous attempts. I don't see any icons to indicate where the problem is as shown in the screenshot below.

    After this problem, I restarted my PC and then divided the list in thirds and was able to burn a third of the list at a time with no problems. I restarted again and removed as many as three mp3s from the list but am still blocked
    from burning.

    Is sure would be nice if WMP showed what the problem is.

    What am I doing wrong?
