Windows 10: Need a techy

First off, you should know I'm in China so...yah...that.

Secondly, I'm having a severe problem trying to play mmorpgs (WoW) at home, but the Wifi @ work seems just fine.

I have a new XiaoMi laptop, I even got a new wifi box for the house. However, the fact remains that when I take the laptop to work, I can play WoW unhindered. When I come home, I can't make contact with the Servers.

I have played WoW at home, for a few minutes, sometimes even as long as 5-10 minutes at home. But severe lag and freezes are common.

In fact, it has gotten worse since I replaced the old laptop and wifi box.

I asked my boss if the work wifi has it's own server, he said no.


What could possibly be causing this?????

I have done your suggested Step 1 but it did not solve my problem. As for your Step 2, I have no clue how to do your #2 as I am not a techie person.

Windows 8 'Irrelevant' For PC Users

Windows 8 interface appears to be for average consumers - not techies.

Its a step in the right direction.

[On a seperate note, I think Win7 will be a favorite for enthusiasts for a long time to come]
