    Need help analyzing a DMP file to deduce the cause of a BSOD.


    Was simply playing Roblox, which isn't a very intensive game, when I suddenly bluescreened. I'm not sure what the cause was, and I'm not adept when it comes to understanding what might've occurred.     Can someone help me analyze the dmp file from a recent BSOD. Its happening on our Surface Laptop 5s when they are on Windows 11.

    • Was there an error code displayed when experiencing the blue screen error?

    Analyzing .DMP file after BSOD

    Hello! Sorry you are having this issue. Hopefully we can fix it.

    So your best bet would be to post the .dmp files here:

    Zip or upload the contents of C:\Windows\minidump

    Use OneDrive to upload collected files

    If the BSOD is very rare, then you can just ignore it. If it happens a lot, it's worth looking at.

    In any case, if you look at the following you will see where the issue lies:

    Probably caused by : ntkrnlmp.exe ( nt!KiPageFault+525 )

    DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (d1)

    An attempt was made to access a pageable (or completely invalid) address at an

    interrupt request level (IRQL) that is too high. This is usually

    caused by drivers using improper addresses.

    ntkrnlmp.exe is usually spit out when the analyzer you used couldn't read the file correctly.

    In any case, I would look at your drivers in device manager, and make sure everything is up to date.
