  1. Need help reading Steam crash dump and trace

While playing a game, my application almost always crashes 10-15 mins into the game. This is a new occurence and I've tried my best to try to diagnose it. I have updated my display drivers, run chkdisk and sfc /scannow, reset my pc (to rule out malware) and it still crashes. Below is the crash dump. Every crash is always an access violation but I don't know how to narrow down to the cause of the issue. Would be very grateful for any input or information regarding this.

  3. Windows 10 Steam game crashes

    Hi,

To assist you better, I would like to ask some questions:

    • Does the issue occur only with Steam games or all games?
    • Are you able to view videos?
    • What is the make and model of your computer?

I suggest you to update the Graphic Card driver by following the steps provided below and check if it helps.

    • Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager.
    • Expand Display Adapters.
    • Right click on the driver and select Update Driver Software.
    • Follow the on-screen prompts to update the driver.

Keep us posted on the status for further assistance.

Need help reading Steam crash dump and trace

How crash dump and hang dump created ???

In case you missed it.... The sentence from S_and_S you quoted is a link to another article about hang\crash\memory dump.

You may want to read both, but basically, crash and hang are slightly different forms of the same thing.

Also avoid creating more than one post per topic. Doing so will generally get the same suggestions, and can also cause confusion

(such as mine, when I didn't read your name on the).
