Windows 10: Need help restoring my surface pro 4

So i recently got a replaceemnt unit for my pro 4, and it was working fine until an update sometime in august. I abandoned it for my wifes pro 6 but decided to try to fix it. Iv downloaded the restore image from the microsoft website and copied to a flash drive. However on choosing the "just remove my files or the clean the drive fully options", i get a "there was a problem recovering your pc" message. Anyone know what could be going on?

The main causes observed so far are driver issues, so I suggest you to install and update all the drivers and see if it helps.

Download drivers and firmware for Surface

I would also suggest you to install all Windows update and check.

Follow the steps:

1. On the search bar type “Settings”.

2. Click on “Update and Security”.

3. Click on “Check for Updates”.

4. Read and accept the license terms, and then tap or click Finish if the update requires it.

Hi, thank you. I could restart my surface pro 4 but still could not fix the Surface Pro 4 screen not turn on after sleep. I am still looking forward to hearing more suggestions to fix the black screen after sleep.

Thank you for the reply.

I suggest you follow the steps below to fix issues with audio and check if that helps

1. Right click on the
   speaker icon which is on the bottom right corner.
   
2. Select Sound option
   from the list.
   
3. Under Playback tab, Right click on
   speakers\headphones.
   
4. Select Advance option.
   
5. Under Advance tab, click on
   Restore Defaults.
