  1. Need help turning off secure boot in Windows 10

    Hi Microsoft Community

I have watched every video I've possibly could about this but nothing helps

I'm trying to turn off secure boot but the option is greyed out

As shown here: https://imgur.com/a/a8lvW8v - it says Secure Boot - Enabled but I can't select it using my arrow keys to disable it

I don't have the option to add a supervisor password either

Someone please come with a solution I've been desperately trying to fix this for hours long

Also: removing all keys under Key Management did not work

    Any help is much appreciated

    :)

Windows 8 Secure Boot Feature: Not So Secure?

    • Linux
    • Linux
    • Linux
    • Linux
    • Oh and OSX
Here is a statement from a Kernal Developer at Red Hat:

I'm not sure this exploits the legacy BIOS but rather it exploits the legacy boot method on MBR drives, injecting a signed key before the OS boots, which you are correct in that it has nothing to do with Windows 8. And the simplest fix would just be to require boot drives use GPT when Secure Boot is enabled in UEFI.

  3. Windows 8 Secure Boot Feature: Not So Secure?

So Linux is switching to secure boot also? Or they have to because of UEFI?
