Windows 10: Need help with awful, washed out colors

    Need help with awful, washed out colors


    So this has happened to others where colors look very washed out. Just awful, I can't quite describe it. Hopefully you guys can see what I mean in this gif. This actually happened to me months ago and spent about 4 hours trying to fix it.

    I have tried going into my Nvidia control panel and making sure color is set to full. I also just tried the color profile keeper application with the settings for my monitor, and that did not work. I wish I could tell you other settings I tweaked months ago.

    Frustratingly, I just moved into a new apartment, and now that I'm finally connected to internet my pc decides to do this again.

    Any help is very appreciated.

    Windows 10 washed out colors

    I have washed out colors.

    I have tried calibrating colors. I booted into safe mode and it's still washed out. I have reinstalled nvidia drivers.

    Fully up to date Windows 10

    i76700K

    980ti (drivers are updated)

    1TB NVME SSD

    32 GB RAM

    Washed Out Color Screen

    To bring back your colors after Windows 10 Updates:-

    Rt. click on desktop screen.

    In the black panel that comes up:-

    Left click on graphic properties.

    Left click on basic mode, (or advanced mode).

    Left click on color enhancement.

    Adjust saturation and colors as needed.

    Saturation adjustment seems to make the biggest change to washed out colors.

    Press OK.

    Bingo! Your colors are back, it took me ages to find this out.
