Windows 10: Need some help deleting a virus

DO NOT REPLY UNLESS YOU CAN PROVIDE AN ANSWER THAT ISNT: "well actually you shouldn't delete system 32 files and if you ever wanted to you really should use Linux instead as you can get full control of your operating system and its free. Btw I am addicted to gore porn and am not helpful"

Without going into any detail at all. A folder has lodged itself inside my Sys32/drivers folder and set the owner to SYSTEM. I cannot change the owner via conventional methods to remove the folder (properties/security/advanced/changeowner).

I've tried takedown /f C:\Windows\System32\drivers\foldername and it keeps returning:ERROR: Access is denied.

That is the most advanced way to gain access I know so I don't know what to do or how to remove the folder. I'll do just about anything to get this folder removed (until it just becomes more convenient to switch back to windows 7) so any help is appreciated!

tl;dr basically i need to delete a folder owned by SYSTEM (any comments asking why will be ignored I'm so sick of other people wanting to validate my actions and I'm sure you are too)

version is Win10 Home 10.0.18363 (hopefully that helps )

Reboot Virus Deletion?

Alright, so I think I have a virus that my computer isn't detecting. None of my processes seem suspiscious, but just to be safe, I'd like to re-install Vista. I have an iMac. I use a program called Boot Camp to partion the HDD so I can install/uninstall Vista on the alternate partion. If I delete the Vista partion, and reinstall Vista, will everything be deleted, including the virus? By the way, I think it could be the csrss.exe virus thing. Not really asking help to remove it, just if the above would work. Thanks *Smile

 

Deleting contacts from Windows 10


When you say Windows Mail Live are you referring to Mail app or Windows Live Mail?

I suggest you to try the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Open Windows Live Mail.
• Press Ctrl + 3 using your keyboard. Right-click on the contact to delete it if it is a single contact.
• Highlight all contacts by pressing Ctrl + A.
• Click Delete located on the Ribbon bar.
• Click OK when you see the message These contacts will also be deleted from Hotmail, Messenger, and other Windows Live services.

After following the steps above, all your contacts that you have manually added to your account will be deleted however, contacts coming from third-party sites such as Facebook will not be deleted unless you remove Facebook from your account.

For Mail app:

Open People app then delete the contact.

Delete @virus = HR

Follow below steps to remove @virus = HR,

• Navigate to C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup and
  delete System.bat (shift+del - requires Administrator
  privilege)
• Reboot the Windows
• Now, delete (shift+del) its
  remnants on desktop, user directories, system drive, windows drive, and root of each partition & drives
