Windows 10: Need some help or direction on software

About two years ago, after a Windows 10 update, a legacy program written in Visual Basic started displaying a dialog to update the software. This package has a check every 7 days to insure that the software is on it's most current version. The problem arises because the program has not been updated in over four years. The problem can be temporarily resolved by going into Programs and Features and Repairing the last version update of the software. This will only last until the next week. This issue also doesn't exist if the computer is not connected to a network. The problem is becoming a pain

I suggest you to follow the below steps and check:

• 
  Press Windows + R keys together.
  
• 
  Type dxdiag in the run prompt and hit enter.
  
• 
  Now check for the version of Direct x.

Install Diablo 3 on Linux

Just install PlayOnLinux? Why did they make step 2 and 3 of this "tutorial"?

Anyway, looking at the supported software list for PlayOnLinux, D3 is a step in the right direction. Lack of gaming is a factor for a lot of people when deciding on an OS, if more recent games get ported it may help migrate them to their preferred choice.
