Windows 10: Need to clean my Windows 10 of all my Microsoft account info and personal information -...

Question in the title. Am really concerned that my personal information will stick around on the computer, but I was hoping not to have to do a factory reset because there are programs I want/need to leave.

I noticed some weird things like even after removing my account from apps and signing out from it in the Account settings, the Photos app would still show my photos (even after I had deleted them???) and the Local account still has my profile picture...

Also if anyone has experience with disassociating the active Kaspersky licence on a computer from my Kaspersky account so it can just continue to be used on it without my personal info being linked to it anymore, that would be amazing...

I understand the inconvenience you are facing with editing Microsoft account and accessing Windows Store, we will help you with this issue.

I suggest you to try the below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to log-in Live.com/ Outlook.com from the Microsoft account you are facing issue with.

Try to edit your personal information from the browser and check if the issue persists.

If the issue still persists,

Step 2: I suggest you to log-in to your user account from different browser on different browser, try to edit your personal information and check if the issue persists.

Step 3: If the issue still persists, I suggest you to run Microsoft account troubleshooter.

Windows 10 Tweaks

As you may already know, Windows 10 (as well as Windows 8) allow you to log in with a valid Microsoft account, instead of creating a local account that only works on your machine. However, you may prefer to keep a local account for privacy reasons. If you do, though, some Windows 10 features—like Cortana—may not work. Despite the default behavior, the Windows 10 Store is not one of them. You can still log in to your Microsoft account for just the Store without switching to a full Microsoft account. The process, however, is not terribly obvious. To do so, follow these steps:

• Launch the Store from your Start menu.
• Click the user icon next to the search box.
• Click “Sign-in” from the menu that appears.
• Choose “Microsoft account” and log in like normal.
• When the “Make it yours” box appears do not enter your password. Instead, click “Sign in to just this app instead.”
