    Since I cannot open my previous machine. what is the way out so that I can transfer my license from my previous desktop to my new laptop?

    Transfer data from the hard disk of a dead laptop

    I am trying to retrieve data from the hard disk of my dead laptop (Windows 7) using a external adapter, but the disk doesn't show up in my new laptop (Windows 10). Is it because the disk only shows up in the same OS (Windows 7) or the disk is dead?

    I would like to transfer Windows 10 CoreSingleLanguage product activation key from my dead laptop to my new PC. I am not using my laptop anymore and I wiped clean my hard drive, including the OS. Can I transfer it using only my microsoft

    i bought the license. My laptop was originally loaded with win 7 and was upgraded free couple of months.

    in this case, if i understand you correctly, i can transfer with below steps. Right.?

    does OS upgrades if my activation key is changed.
