Windows 10: Network adapter issues

My ASUS laptop, which uses Windows 10, has recently started to disconnect itself from my WiFi network at random. The network I was using still appears in the network list screen, but it will not connect if you click on it. The Wireless Network Adapter has been updated. Tried disabling and enabling it. Even tried uninstalling the network adapter and restart the laptop, but the problem still persists. Only way I can temporarily connect to my network is by restarting it or wake it up after it goes into sleep mode. All other devices in my home still connect with my network with no problem. Would really appreciate assistance.

To resolve this issue, we suggest that you run the Network troubleshooter when you switch from WiFi to Ethernet connection. The Network troubleshooter can help diagnose and fix common connection problems including clearing the network cache to obtain a new
IP from the new network. Kindly follow the steps below:

• In the search box on the taskbar, type Identify and repair network problems, and then select
  Identify and repair network problems from the list of results.
• Follow the steps in the troubleshooter and see if that fixes the problem.

We recommend that you try the steps on the Update the network adapter driver,
Run the Network troubleshooter followed by networking commands, and Use network reset to reinstall network devices sections.

    • Click on “Network and Internet”
    • Click on “Network Adapter” and run the troubleshooter.

Method 2: Download and install the latest firmware updates for the Network adapter

Follow these steps to un-install the drivers:

• On the search bar type “ Device Manager”
• On the left pane locate “Network Adapter” and expand by clicking on it
• Right on the “ Network driver” option and click “Uninstall’
• Download the latest Wireless network adapter driver setup file from the manufacturer’s website and install it.

Network Connection Issues

Method 1: Reboot the router of the network and check if the issue is resolved.
If the issue persist, run the network adapter troubleshooter by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

• Press Windows icon key on the keyboard, type Troubleshooting and select the top most search result.
• Click on View all from the left side panel of the window.
• Select Network Adapter,
  click on Advanced and check Apply repairs automatically
  option.
• Follow the on screen instructions.

Method 2: If the issue persist, I suggest you to
uninstall the network adapter driver from device manager by following the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X keys on the keyboard and click on
  Device Manager.
• Expand the Network adapter driver from the list.
• Right click on the driver and click on Uninstall option.
• Restart the PC to install the network adapters automatically and check if the changes are effective.

Also check from the manufacturer’s website if you are using updated network adapter. If not, I suggest you to download the latest network adapter software from the manufacturer’s website and check if the issue is resolved.
