Windows 10: Network and Connectivity

I am unable to connect to wireless as well as wired connection on my laptop. The wireless connection shows that it is connected but there's no internet access. However, the same wifi is working on other devices. I tried disabling network adapter and enabling it. I tried connecting laptop through LAN cable to the router none worked. I am also unable to get the properties of wifi connection. As soon as i click it there's no response. I have also noticed now that the task manager is unable to kill any process. Besides, once I run Task Manager window I am unable to shut it down. I tried to reset my laptop. But that isn't working either. I went to safe mode and tried connecting wifi. That isn't working either. However, in safe mode Ethernet connectivity is working.


I have tried almost all solution available on net, but none worked so far. Besides in command prompt following command won't work either



Ipconfig /release



Not really sure what to do next. How can i do a system reset without losing my files? I tried it but that is not working

Losing network connection

Hello Dear, if you have a laptop or a PC with a wireless network adapter, you can see a list of available wireless networks and then connect to one of those networks. The wireless networks will only appear if your PC has a wireless network adapter installed, the adapter is turned on, and the wireless access point is in range.

1. Click Start, click Control Panel, click Network and Internet Connections, and then click Network Connections.

2. In the left pane, under Network Tasks, click View available wireless networks.
In case, If you don't see the network you want to connect to, click Refresh network list. If you see the network but the signal is weak, move the PC closer to the wireless router.

3. Click the network you want to connect to, and then click Connect.

4. If you're connecting to a secure network, type the security key, and then click OK.
