Windows 10: Network and sharing centre not loading

My pc is a hp probook 450 g6

The problem started when it showed me the 3f0 errorhard drive not found after trying many solutions, I managed to boot in legacy mode and did not have to do a fresh install.

However, apps like office and especially my settings kept loading slowly. I tried troubleshooting but no actual problems were found except for windows update not checking for updates. Then, my wifi connection was working but it was pretty slow and i could not update my pc.

I did a network reset but that did not seem work, now i can't access my network and sharing centre or my network adapter settings to resolve the issue nor am i able to even connect to my wifi.


Note: I ran an sfc and dism command and found some corrupted files. I am no longer sure what the reason may be for the problems that keep occuring on my pc.


I need help before i need to do a fresh install of windows 10.

can't seem to view available networks in network and sharing centre, right clicking does not do anything

If you are saying that you can't open Network and Sharing Center there are other ways than what you are probably trying. E.g. press Win-E Alt-d and type Network and press Enter. FWIW I see in that node's ribbon Network and Sharing Center. Ugh. That's
not what you are looking for either, is it? Oh, one more step. Scroll to the bottom of that "modern" Settings page and then click on the link Network and Sharing Center. Ta da! Behold! Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Network and Sharing Center

Network and sharing centre never loads

I have just updated to wondows 10 on my laptop from windows 7 ultimate.

All works OK, except I cannot open the Network and sharing centre.

It just hangs trying to load it, no matter what I do, or how long I leave it.

So I cannot change WIFI, and Cannot connect to a LAN.

In fact I cannot see anything at all.

Is this a BUG.

OR is something on the laptop having issues.

It all worked fine on 7.

• What is your internet connection type? (wired or wireless)

I would suggest you to follow these methods below to fix your issue.

Method 1:




You may update the Network Adaptors driver from Device Manager manually and check, if this helps.

•Press (Windows key + X) and click on “Device Manager”.

•Expand “Network Adaptors”.

•Right click on the 'Network Adaptors' and select “Update Driver Software”. Once this is done, restart the computer and check, if it works.

If the issue still persists, follow the Method 2.

Method 2:


Uninstall and reinstall the Network Adaptors driver and check, if it works. Refer to the following steps to uninstall the Network Adaptors driver from the Device Manager.



a. Click on Windows key + X and then, select Device Manager.

b. Locate and expand “Network Adaptors driver” in the Device Manager Window.

c. Right-click on the “Network Adaptors driver” and click on “uninstall".

d. Restart the computer and check, if it works.



If the issue still persists, follow the Method 3.



Method 3:



I would also suggest you to reinstall the latest Network Adaptors driver in compatibility mode and check, if it works.



Follow these steps to install the Network Adaptors driver in compatibility mode.



1. Download the latest Network Adaptors driver from the manufacturer’s website.

2. Right-click on the setup file and click on "Properties".

3. Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box "Run this program in compatibility mode” and select previous Operating System from the drop down.

4. Click on ‘Apply’ and click ‘OK’ and run the file to install it.
