Windows 10: Network Driver Restart & Failed System Restore

I recently was having some issues connecting to the Internet and I think it had something to do with a monthly network reset at my company does which typically I have to reset my network settings as well. This computer is new and when I did this for some reason it didn’t complete the process properly so my wireless network driver was not properly reinstalled. I cannot connect to the Internet any other way as of right now. I had previously set up an image restore point and had two other points in case of an emergency. I attempted to do the restore. Failed to complete System Restore

Hello Passegua,

The error code 0x80070005 may indicate a few things that are causing System Restore Failure. It could be corrupted system files, conflict with other programs such as Anti-virus protection, and etc. As a first troubleshooting step, we suggest
that you perform System restore in Safe Mode. Kindly refer to this link for more information and steps.

Another step that I can suggest is Clean Boot, if the above step fails.

System Restore Error 0x8007005

To resolve your concern with System Restore Error 0x8007005, I suggest that you
boot your PC in safe mode first before performing the System Restore. Safe mode starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and services to help troubleshoot issues. To do so, please follow these steps:

• Open Settings.
• Select Update & security.
• Open Recovery.
• Under Advanced startup, select Restart now.
• After the PC restarts to the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot.
• Click Advanced options.
• Under Startup Settings, hit Restart.
• After the PC restarts, select 5 or F5 for Safe Mode with Networking.
  

Note: If a problem doesn't reappear when you start your PC in safe mode, you can eliminate the default settings, basic device drivers and services as possible causes.

Furthermore, you may also consider disabling your Anti-virus software temporarily before performing the System Restore.

Windows 10, Will not restart after System Restore.

I suggest you to perform a Power drain by following the steps provided below:

• Shut down the Computer.
• Remove all power source (including battery if it is a laptop).
• Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds.
• Connect the power source and start the computer.

If the issue still persists,

Check if the system boots to Safe mode using the ISO by following the steps below:

• Insert the installation media you created, and then restart your PC.
• On the Install Windows screen, select Repair your computer. (If you’re not seeing this screen, your PC might not be set up to boot from a drive. Check your PC manufacturer's website for info on how to boot from media,
  and then try again.)
• On the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot. From there, you can use Safe Mode. Select
  Advanced Options > Startup Settings > Restart.
• After your PC restarts, select 5 or F5 to restart you PC in Safe Mode with Networking. If your PC won’t start in Safe Mode with Networking, try steps 2-4 again, and then, after your PC restarts, select 3 or F3 to
  Enable low-resolution video.
