Windows 10: Network settings

I'm having a hard time understanding private and public network settings. I live alone and have one desktop computer. I have internet service obviously and I spend a lot of time online. My question is , is security better for browsing set to public or private in network settings?

We value your time and so we want to avoid repeating troubleshooting steps that were already performed. Kindly share with us the troubleshooting steps that you have done from your end.

In the mean time, we suggest that you run the Network troubleshooter to diagnose and fix network problems. Refer to the steps below:

• Click on Start.
• Click on Settings.
• Click on Network & Internet.
• Under Change your network settings, click on Network troubleshooter.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

If the issue persists, we suggest that you try to
renew

IP address. To do this, follow these steps:

  Command Prompt

  Administrator.

  Type the following command:

    Ipconfig/release
    and hit
    Enter.
    
  • 
    Ipconfig/renew
    and hit
    Enter.
    
  • 
    Exit.
