I don't know what's wrong, here. I thought I'd pinned it down to a bad network driver, but none of my other PCs had this issue. Rolling back the driver seemed to fix the issue, temporarily, and then when it happened again, I could simply roll the driver back again. Well, now, the driver can't be rolled back (presumably it's past the 10 day grace), but that begs the question: if it's the driver, why would it have gone past the 10 days without causing a problem?

Here's the symptoms: No network connectivity. Pinging 8s, or any network resource returns DHU from an assigned address, not 127.0.0.1. ipconfig shows Media Disconnected. Can't enable the ethernet adapter

What am I missing, here? It's not a physical layer, thing. I can plug anything else into the outlet and it works, which is why I'm bringing this to the Windows 10 board.

    TIA!

Did our Epson printer get hacked?

Another question, is this on a home network or a work network? The steps @eidairaman1 listed are always a good first step. If this is on a work network you manage, I'd be much more concerned than the home one. It is possible someone is screwing with you, but malware could also be the culprit.

Windows 10 install broke network connections to printers & documents

bro67, am I understanding correctly that you are suggesting we purchase a NAS (Network Attached Storage) device? Or are you suggesting we get rid of half our printers? I'm not sure what you're suggesting as a fix for our situation, but buying new hardware/throwing away printers seems a bit over the top to fix something Windows 10 broke.

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region

I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
    Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

    1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
    2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
    3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.
    Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

    1. Go to Settings.
    2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
    3. Select add someone else on this PC.
    4. Enter a user name and hit next.
    5. Click on Finish.
    6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.
    Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.
