  1. Networking issue - Suggestions appreciated.

I've been suffering with an intermittent network issue for some time, I've tried rolling drivers forwards and backwards and changing adapter settings to ensure the network card stays powered etc. Any suggestions on potential solutions would be appreciated.

Large Black area will have been where the computer was restarted/turned off for a number of hours.

As far as I can tell which may be wrong the issue with with either the realtek family controller or the intel dual band wireless AC 7260? My suspicion is something in the intel drivers, but I have tried rolling these forwards and backwards across a number of versions.

It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

  4. Networking issue - Suggestions appreciated.

    Network Issues

I tried all of your suggestions and it still didn't work. So I decided to go back to basics. Pinging the machines worked- so there wasn't a problem there- so I decided to retry the network setup wizards from scratch- again no result. Pinged again- successful. Utterly stumped I decided what if I just do what Windows is supposed to myself,. I simply used run to open \\192.168.X.X on the other machine and voila the folders opened. So I just made a shortcut and typed in the address into the target. I still can't see Workgroup computers (now on Mshome) and Network Places still doesn't work. Sometimes you just have to do it yourself.....

However, thanks for all your suggestions; I appreciate them.
