  1. Networking, which OS

    Hi all,

I run a small business, I have three windows enterprise pcs and one with windows xp as it still supports my windows ce 6.5 device, I have several staff members.

I would like to have the ability to use one of the machines as a server for ALL of the machines so i can then have this as a kind of domain setup so the users can be controlled centrally.

I have setup user accounts on each of the machines and because we deal with patients we have a lot of sensitive data.

I have worked out to set group policy specific to users in order to control access to the systems and certain files but i would like to be able to setup active directory to be able to make all of this more simplified, i am opening another store in the next few months so eventually i would like to be able to link the machines to the 3-4 that will also be over at that business.

Ideally, I would be able to login to one of the pc's to setup a user, policy, change password etc and this work across all of them at the same time. As much as some things are in place at the moment I am struggling with domains and how to set this up and connecting the computers to it and then eventually active directory once i have managed this.

Any ideas would be fantastic, most google searches just tell me what these things are, not clearly how i would set them up.

    Thanks all,

    David

    :)

Did our Epson printer get hacked?

Another question, is this on a home network or a work network? The steps @eidairaman1 listed are always a good first step. If this is on a work network you manage, I'd be much more concerned than the home one. It is possible someone is screwing with you, but malware could also be the culprit.

I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.

    Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

    1. Go to Settings.
    2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
    3. Select add someone else on this PC.
    4. Enter a user name and hit next.
    5. Click on Finish.
    6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.
    Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.
