New Cloned Drive - apps that require APPDATA are pointing to old drive

I cloned my C drive to a new SSD (old C drive is now ENew Cloned Drive - apps that require APPDATA are pointing to old drive :)

Everything in the start menu that requires app data eg Backup is pointing to APPDATA in E drive not C drive, where there is an up to date copy.

How do I globally change Windows to look at C:\Users\(username)\appdata?

I have found several posts here and elsewhere about changing the location of APPDATA but do not think that is what I need.

    Thanks

    :)

How can I clone my old hard drive to a new hard drive?

    Easily.

Most new retail hard drives come with cloning software and complete instructions. Drive manufacturers know that this is the primary reason people buy hard drives in the first place, so they give you instructions, software and extensive help on their websites.

However, the new hard drive's manufacturer can't help with opening up your laptop and removing the old drive. The manufacturer of your laptop has that information.

%appdata% on Failed Drive | Move Thunderbird Profile to New Drive

I have found some discussions on this but none are very clear.

It seems that the only way to access a profile on the old drive is through %appdata% from the Run menu.

The run then %appdata% works on my current machine.

But I have not been able to figure out how to search for %appdata%
in the old drive from the new drive.

Maybe there is some way to do this from the command line?

Any tips for making the transfers?

    Thanks for any suggestions.
