Windows 10: New Dell Computer

I went online and bought this Dell Computer. (Vostro 3583|Service Tag: 8QTHTW2It) It has no DVD tray?

What if I wanted to write something to a CD or DVD? Crazy . . . I suppose I could add an external drive.

Or could I? It also said it had Windows 10 Pro? But, when I went thru Settings, to check, it just says

Windows 10? How can I check for sure? Without a DVD tray how did they install the OS? Their are

USB ports and a sim card slot. Did thy install the OS thru there?


I called support, but like so many other companies, the support is answered in India. Yea, hard to

understand. I asked, what if I needed to re-install the OS. I should have gotten the sim card or

whatever it was installed from, with it! (I should have gotten an HP). The support person said, I

could buy what I needed. Great . . . I'm really unhappy about this whole thing . . . Dell is down in

Texas. I with their was some way to talk to someone there. I should get the sim card or whatever,

for free. Does anyone have a phone number in this country? Or an email address? I guess you

can't put that on a public forum. Maybe they have an online Forum? I'll have to check.

I give up . . . Any thoughts?

Dell to market AMD based computers

Dell Inc has informed its Taiwan contract makers of plans to develop devices based on Advanced Micro Devices Inc's microprocessors, and these suppliers are awaiting orders for global shipment, the Economic Daily News reported, citing industry sources.

These suppliers are ready developing and arranging the logistics of such devices for shipment to Dell, it added.

You should then see a list of all drivers for manual download.
