  2. I'd just let Windows do it. Run Windows update until it says all up to date. Then have a look see for devices that aren't working.

    Yup, that's exactly how I did my Dell laptop for clean install. Once updates were done, I looked in Device Manager, sussed out which devices were the unknown ones flagged therein and downloaded those drivers from Dell (did have them saved from original but downloaded to make sure most up-to-date) for install and complete functionality.

    I had to hunt a couple of drivers up when I was running Windows 8/8.1. Everything works for me in Windows 10 though. I just have to give it a little time to install them. I'll be tweaking my settings and see my screen flash when the Video drivers are installed. Usually about 10 minutes or less and everything is working.
