Windows 10: New HP Laptop won't printer to Canon 4880

My new HP laptop is 64 bit Win10 and I have downloaded the 64 bit Win 10 driver for the Canon ImageClass MF4880DW. The printer is visible in the print menu of both Word and Excel but every time I go to print, I get an error message. I clear the printer queue, try again, same result. I've removed the driver and reinstalled. I've used a different USB port. Nothing. Any ideas?

I have windows 10 and my printer is HP OFFICEJET PRO 8610. My laptop says it is offline What do I do?

Hp laptop screen won’t display except occasionally

I would like to note that step 20 comes up with no files. Perhaps this could be the source of the issues?

 

Can't Install New Canon Printer

Just bought a new Canon PIXMA MG2920 printer and can't install it on my HP Pavilion 360 notebook wirelessly. It works when connected to a USB port. When I try to download the drivers for wireless setup, the files unzip and then I get the message "Failed
to acquire information on the driver and software. Check network connection and try again." Canon customer support has tried, but can't offer any help. They suggest it has something to do with a setting on my laptop, but aren't sure. Any ideas?
