Windows 10: New HP Spectre - how to find my BitLocker Recovery Key

Setting up my new HP Spectre, and am looking for my BitLocker Recovery Key. I've logged into our family Microsoft account, and found my device. Thought that's where I'd find the key, or directly on my computer. Cannot find it on either location.


Can someone point me to the right location?

Bitlocker recovery key

My HP Spectre 360 recently needed to be repaired after the motherboard died. HP tech support says they cannot recover the data on the device because Bitlocker has been triggered. However, I never (purposely) set it up, and I don't have any recovery keys.
My Microsoft account shows no saved/stored keys. And my Microsoft account actually shows that Bitlocker is "off" on this device. Obviously, it's somehow on now.

I have no knowledge of ever creating or saving recovery keys, and I don't think I ever did. How do I find/generate a recovery key? Is there any way around it so I can save the data on the device?

2. Did you ever setup BitLocker Recovery Key on your computer?
3. Are you not able to login to your Microsoft Account to find the BitLocker Recovery Key?
4. Are you using Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Professional?

Meanwhile, try finding BitLocker Recovery Key if you have ever setup BitLocker Recovery Key for your computer.
