Windows 10: New Onda tablet from China.. unable to stop chinese characters

Recently received a new tablet purchased in China. During set up, I installed English language and uninstalled Chinese language. Generally, all is OK but on lock screen, date / time still comes up in Chinese and during log in (picture password) the "start again" etc is in Chinese.

Any ideas?

i bought a v102w tablet from china and have upgraded to windows 10. i managed through my phone and a translate app to install with uk english language and locale but have noticed other features of windows have chinese characters too. plus cortana wont work
as the chinese language isnt supported.

any idea how i get if into full uk english?

Hi Garfield, welcome to Ten Forums.

Right click Start, select Control Panel. In icon view select Region or if using Category view select Change date, time or number formats:

Administrative tab, click Copy settings:




Select both Welcome screen and system accounts and New user accounts, click OK to apply changes:




That should take care of it.
