Windows 10: new pc 1tb hdd to ssd clone advice needed

Discus and support new pc 1tb hdd to ssd clone advice needed in Windows 10 Backup and Restore to solve the problem; Just a update, eventually got the image over into the ssd, was working alright for about 3 reboots but the Kaspersky wouldn't start on the new ssd then...     Just a update, eventually got the image over into the ssd, was working alright for about 3 reboots but the Kaspersky wouldn't start on the new ssd then I updated a couple of drivers, windows installed a update then pc wont boot now just blue screen with error message so now booting back on the original hdd for now

    Update, as I had problems installing a image for some reason, I next tried and with success cloned main Hdd to Ssd.Ive now updated drivers and its working great
    Thanks to all that give me lots of advice its just a pitty it didn't work for me image way.
    Much appreciated

    Thanks for updating, davnav. Glad you got it sorted. Lesson learned by me is don't necessarily write off clone as less desirable than image restore, as you never know about a gotcha lurking. *Smile
