Same problem with my Surface Pro 4. It started right after a driver update on 7/31.

 

miracast wireless adaptor not connecting

I have exactly this problem when trying to connect using my Surface Pro 4

It had worked ok up to an update of my Windows and device firmware on the 18th Dec.

I have tried all the steps on the MS Support website and as mentioned in this chain.

Contact with MS support implies that the problem maybe to do with the firmware up date.

Is anyone else suffering?

You must differentiate between the two models.....SP4 and the new Surface Pro are two separate models.
M$ have in my opinion made a mistake in not adding a 5 to the new Surface Pro thereby maintaining the previous sequence.
This would have eliminated any ambiguity and confusion.

 

I aggree dencal. I'm therefore assuming that since I have the NEW sp4 (2017)model & have not received any new driver updates that those mentioned in this thread are for the OLD sp4.
Whatever the case, my surface has worked well so far, with no major glitches.
