Do you stay updated with firmware for the device? Are firmware updates delivered automatically to you?

Both my Dell tablet and my Asus tablet have programs built in to check for and update firmware. I can go to the Asus website and search for firmware updates and at Dell, I can run diagnostics.

There is also the Troubleshooter in the control panel. Long press or right click Start > Control Panel, Troubleshooting.

There are more than a few ways to install new drivers for the Bluetooth and network adapters. Try updating the device drivers in the Device Manager. Long press or right click on Start > Device Manager. Expand the category, say for Bluetooth, right click
Bluetooth Radio and click Update Driver Software.

video tdr failure in windows 10

I have had 2 blue screens with "Video-TDR-FAILURE (igdkm64.sys)" since performing a clean install on Windows 10 64-bit on a Surface Pro 3. I am not using graphics intensive applications, unless Office 2016 is counted as graphics intensive. I have recently
added the docking station and have had several problems with that (dropped Ethernet connections etc.). But doubt that is the cause of the video driver failure, this is clearly a Microsoft - Intel driver, firmware issue. Have the latest Windows updates
including 10/13/15 and Surface Pro firmware. No problems detected with SFC.

 

Received on 17th - no obvious problems so far.
