Windows 10: New to Chrome-pop-up blocker, duckduckgo settings, and set homepage

Hi

Just d/l-ed Chrome. Trying to mimic IE11 in W7, to some extent.

1. Looking for a good pop-up blocker, that will hopefully do what Adblock Plus does in IE,. which is not only block pop-ups, but also stop many ads in pages from playing/appearing

2. In IE, I see 'settings' on the duckduckgo homepage. Not in Chrome. Where'd it go?

3. In IE, as I am sure everyone knows, you can set the homepage to be blank. I cant seem to do that in Chrome. I have explored: "Appearance - Show home button", and "On startup", but can't figure out how to do this.

Pop up blocker for Chrome - Poper Blocker Re: Firefox

I use this one (Pop up blocker for Chrome™ - Poper Blocker)
for Chrome with moderately good results. Kindly suggest recommendations for Firefox.

Pop-up blocker helps user to prevent pop-ups from displaying in a user's Web browser.

Follow these steps to block pop-ups in Internet Explorer:

• Open Internet Explorer.
• Open the gear icon at the upper right of the Internet Explorer.
• Select Internet Options.
• Under Privacy tab, put a check mark on Turn on Pop-up Blocker.
• Click OK.

Follow these steps to block pop-ups in Microsoft Edge:

• Open Microsoft Edge.
• Open More (icon with three dots) and select Settings.
  
• Click View advanced settings.
• Turn Block pop-ups to On.

Open Chrome

Upper right corner, click " a small 3 straight dot icon", > Settings

Roll to the bottom, click Advanced

Under "Privacy and security," click Content settings

Click Pop-ups and redirects., turn the setting to Allowed or add the web site to the list

In the upper right corner, Click "three horizontal bars"

Click Options > the Privacy and Security tab

Uncheck the Block pop-up windows box below Permissions.

To allow specific pop-ups, click Exceptions and enter the URL(s).

Close the window

IE 9 or later

Upper right corner ( a small "gear" icon ), Click Internet Options.

Select the Privacy tab.

Uncheck Turn on Pop-up Blocker to disable the pop-up blocker.

To disable pop-up blockers for specific sites, click the "Settings" at the right of "Pop-up Blocker" button

Click OK.
