New to too small storage, have questions.

My laptop is a 32 gbs, Intel. My windows is 64 bit home and activated to my account.

I've installed Ubuntu onto an sd card.

I want to use Ubuntu to delete my c: drive partition to do a factory reset of my windows 10 home 64 bit after backing up my drive to a usb stick.

Will it boot like that? What else do I need to do, like formatting the card.

Ideally I would like to reinstall windows 10 to my card after, though as far as I can tell you absolutely have to install windows in internal storage?

Additionally I would just keep this crumby windows 10 as it gets the job done for my option B I have considered: Install Linux cinnamon to the hdd after deleting windows, I don't know if that is the wiseest choice as I've learned Linux can get buggy overtime?

Keeping windows isn't so important as I mostly use this to browse web and watch videos, but I am wondering about just having the little cinnamon on my hdd so I can turn the usb into ram to game straight from hard drive with what little hdd storage I do have left after OS which unless I am mistaken cinnamon is rather small so I would have an ok amount.

I choose these option because I don't really have access to a another PC for the media file and I was exploring other options since windows won't use my external storage for its updates and such.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    :)

  2. Question about temperatures

Actually, I think that you should go with the Darknova's suggestion and try buying a new case first... it seems to be the most logical step to take before spending cash on new coolers *Smile New to too small storage, have questions. :)

New here and seeking for help: problems with graphic card

Thanks very much lilhasselhoffer. I'll start doing what you suggested step by step.

One question thou: you suggested me to Download the latest driver package from Nvidea. However, the link you posted is for the newly released GeForce GTX 760? Am I supposed to download the drivers for that card?

Sorry for my questions. As I said, I'm not an expert at all.

    Local account installation question

I'm fairly certain that Skip this step was available in 10.0.130 - the workaround in Step 20 (back button) is no longer required.

The currently known, as of 10.0.130, ways to create a Local account sign-in are
    • Skip this step at the MS account creation phase
    • No Internet connection during the install
    • static IP (post# 2 by Fragment) - New (to me anyway)
