Windows 10: New to Windows 10 but i cannot seem to cut & Paste anything.

I believe it is setup correctly but every time i "CTRL C" then go to the page I want that text on it says that the clipboard is empty.

Cut and Paste Problem

• Are you trying to cut and paste a folder from an external device?
  
• Do you have any other User accounts on the computer? Did you check the files in other User accounts if any?
  
• Was there any interruption during the cut and paste process?
  
• If the cut and paste process was interrupted, did you receive any error code or error message?
  

I suggest you to check the missing files in the Recycle Bin and try recovering the files. You can also try manually searching the files by entering the file name in the search bar.

Please refer this article and run the diagnostic tool to troubleshoot on the issue.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Cut & paste

Have not been able to cut/paste from first use of new HP laptop, 64-bit Windows 10

Example: Trying to cut/paste excerpt from Kim Komando newsletter to new email.

No 3rd party programs installed.

All Windows 10 updates current

No 3rd party antivirus.....use McAfee Security Suite provided by AT&T/sbcglobal.net
