Windows 10: New version of ASUS AI Suite that works with KB4056892 availabe

Didn't see it yesterday when I checked but is there now. Thanks for the info. Do you have to uninstall the old version or can you just install over the top like most updates?

 

You can just update over the old one, and then it only updates the portions that need updating.
Like when I went from the beta to the finale, it only updated the Dual intelligent processors portion.

Do you use AI Suite 3 to OC your system? I just used it to see what results I get and it OC my system to 5100 and my temps are ridiculously low. Early 30's at idle and high 40's early 50's playing newest games (COD etc.) I do have a full size case with 3 200mm Noctua fans and a Noctua D15 tower cooler. Can't even hear the fans at all. Seems like a high OC to not have high voltage or fans ramping up.

 

I only OC in BIOS, like Steve & Doug( essenbe & Dude) taught me*Wink
I use AIS3 only to change the fan profiles.

If they had that module as a stand alone, I would only use that.*Smile

The built in updater isn't worth a sh*t either.*Sad

I just uninstalled the original AI suite I had (rebooted) and installed the Version 1.01.30 on the ASUS downloads for my ROG Maximus VIII Hero motherboard. Seems to be working OK with that KB, however I don't really use it.

I keep it set to not start at bootup.
And after I make any changes or use it, I always exit it. No need to have a service running in the background I'm not using at the moment, no matter how powerful my system is.

 

I installed the last version of AI Suite III Asus provides (released January 2016) for my mobo last night and it bricked Windows (no mouse or keyboard). Had to get into boot options and into Restore from there to get the system back. The version just released is not published by Asus for my mobo. Anyone know what the possible consequences of installing the version released for the ROG Maximus boards might be?

 

Go to the Maximus Code X downloads. Works for my Z87 Hero VI and with the Windows 10 Intel Meltdown patch. It was released yesterday.

Asus has released new AI Suite 3 for Z170 Pro and Pro Gaming now where they had not previously. Expect they have for other boards as well.

 

Was rethinking overclocking with AIS3. Although mine seems to be running great using AIS3, I would like to look into overclocking in the bios. Do you have an instruction tutorial to use? What would be the difference in using the bios or leaving the AIS3 setting?
