    Hi,

I use a small SSD as my system drive and have had to clean up my disk due to there being under 2GB free for a while now. I have been lazy to act because all the space that has been eaten up has been within Windows folders. I finally investigated further and I as you can see from the screenshot, I had over 6GB taken by Candy Crush. After a little bit of stuffing around with ACL's, I had a nice little win.

The problem is, however, I do not have Candy Crush installed. I uninstalled it years ago yet newer versions have been installed by Windows\Windows Store.

I went through the store to see if I could remove this game from my account but I couldn't.

    Question:

How can I remove previous purchases/downloads from my Microsoft Account?
    Regards,
    Adrian.

    :)

The free version of Revo uninstaller now removed many of the Microsoft apps & will clean up any remaining files, should Candy crush or another unwanted app reinstall itself I would use Revo to completely remove it.

You can hide these apps within the store via your account but you cannot delete/remove them completely.

    Hi DaveM121,

    Thanks for your answer.

I have deleted the folders after changing the ACLs and I did that because the Remove-AppxPackage
Cmdlet threw an exception and from what I could tell, it was because the app isn't installed.
Get-AppxPackage actually returned the App, I just couldn't remove it.

I hope that because now the path-names and data no longer exist on my machine, the app will stop updating versions. But I would also like to remove this
app/download/purchase from wherever its recorded and can't understand why I couldn't do so from within my account, PC or Windows Store.

    Regards,

    Adrian.
