    New windows 10 device....Lockout.....!

First time setting up windows 10 new device highjacked into signing up to Microsoft account, email password, and system also pre-set for use with edge.

Where has my freedom of choice gone ... which email service , which password setting., which search engine , I have gone out purchased a new device, i do not want to be forced into a boring intro to set up a device! very very poor indeed i hate being told where and how to sign in. Microsoft have locked out users from there own devices rendering them useless because of a password which also locks the device.... i own it and it is like buying a new car and the garage owner driving it where he wants the car to go.

Update sadly the recovery has not worked as the tablet is not recognizing

the USB, Windows 10 reinstall so I can't use the tablet at all and now.

So I will have to have the tablet sent to a engineer as it is beyond my skill level resetting it

spent hours looking at a full reset.

All because of the Microsoft password which i did not realize was also the tablet lock has rendered the tablet useless!

The so called Microsoft support is all but useless still very disappointed indeed...

a very unhappy customer and now avoiding Microsoft at all costs regards Microsoftdoesnotrule

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
