New windows 10 update - video card and sound issues

There was some sort of update this past week, my system changed settings and now my video and audio are messed up. i cant access some of the features of my video card, and its trying to output audio through the hdmi output. I had that disabled before. nvidia control panel is not accessible when i rightclick anymore. and isnt set as the default. i only get windows control panel display settings, so i cant resize my screen. i hate updates all the time. leave stuff alone. I had to do a system restore to get it working the way i wanted it. and now it while i was away from the computer it updated again and i cant use my computer. i have to do a system restore again? any update that changes the system settings shouldnt automatically take affect.

    :)

  2. New install Windows 10 (issue solved)

It's good that you're not experiencing any issues. Unfortunately many folks are, a quick Google search will show the same info im offering the OP.

    Heres a couple examples:

    Here

    Here

It's basically what I mentioned above, small issues here and there ,but nothing to end your day.. for the most part.

I know it's anecdotal, but for my experience 95% of the time it's perfectly fine. The issues I've run into wouldn't be enough for me to roll back , but they would be enough (had I not installed it yet) ,to avoid it for another couple weeks which is why I'm suggesting it to the OP

    • Microsoft Edge problems with the Fall Creators Update
