Windows 10: New Windows Pro Product Key doesn't match Belarc Advisor report

I recently upgraded my laptop from Win 7 Pro to Win 10 Pro using a retail license. I ran Belarc Advisor before I upgraded and then again after I upgraded. However, the Win 10 Pro report shows a different Product Key, then the one that I entered during the installation. I've even tried to change the Product Key in Win 10 Pro using the Retail Product Key that I purchased and ran the Belarc Advisor report again but it still shows a different key.


I then ran the slmgr.vbs /dlv command and it shows the following;


Name: Windows Professional edition

Description: WindowsR Operating System, RETAIL channel

Partial Product Key: matching the current key but not the product key that I purchased

License Status: Licensed


Shouldn't the product keys match? Does the slmgr.vbs command show that I have a licensed retail copy of Windows 10 Pro?

Belarc Advisor Definitions?

I use Belarc Advisor to check PCs have all updates installed.

I use Office 2010 on two PCs. Belarc Advisor reports each has 10 missing Office 2010 updates (see below) yet they are installed on both PCs. What's wrong here? It seems Belarc Advisor is no longer to be trusted.

Where is my Product Key if I want to re-install?


Like davidhk said. But if you really want to see your windows key, I would suggest Belarc advisor. It will give you some useful information about your system, product keys of your software is among them (not only Microsoft, you will have listed most of your keys).
