Windows 10: New windows update **** up my PC

Hey y'all.


I have a $3000 homebuild beast made for gaming i've never had any problems with FPS or lag or anything whatsoever, then i'm forced to update Windows and now i can't even go into a games main menu without dropping to 1-20 fps depending on the game.




I have tried over 10 times now to remove the update and even set the update on Pause so its not supposed to update anything at all untill 27th january and it still updates every time i remove the update and then restart.


So safe to say i'm **** and can't use my pc for anything besides Chrome.



If there's any geniuses able to help.. Then please..

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
