The Xbox app brings together your friends, games, and accomplishments from across your devices. Stay connected to your gaming community on the go, control your Xbox One from the app, and buy new games from the store. With your gaming life all in one place, the Xbox app keeps you connected to the games and gamers that matter most.

On the go:

• Share game captures with friends and across social networks
• Join Xbox Live Clubs to interact with like-minded gamers
• Use Looking for Group (LFG) to find a party to play a game
• Stay connected with multi-user conversations in Group Messaging
• See what friends are up to on Xbox Live
• Post updates and game clips to Activity Feed
• Watch and interact with game content
• Buy games from the store

With an Xbox One:

• Use the app to navigate using your device’s keyboard and touch
• Use the app as a media controller for your Xbox One (play, pause, etc)

What's New:

This update kicks off a series of improvements that we're making to messaging in the Xbox Mobile App!

In this update we've added:

-New messaging UI that's faster and more performant
-Improved group messaging functionality
-Improved spam control in your inbox with the addition of 'Message Requests'

We've also made numerous bug fixes and stability improvements based on your feedback.

Xbox One Preview Alpha Ring 1905 System Update 190428-1940 - May 1

Starting at 2:00 p.m. PST today, members of the Xbox One Preview Alpha Ring will begin receiving the latest 1905 Xbox One system update (19H1_RELEASE_XBOX_DEV_1905\18362.3042.190428-1940) Read on for more about the new features, fixes and known issues in the latest 1905 system update.

DETAILS:

OS version released: 19H1_RELEASE_XBOX_DEV_1905\18362.3042.190428-1940

Available: 2:00PM PDT 5/1/19

Mandatory Date/Time: 3:00 AM PDT 5/2/19

Fixes:

System

Fixed a memory leak to address overall system performance.

Localization fixes.

Known Issues:

Audio

Headsets are not being assigned to the users profiles and not working correctly.

Some users are encountering no audio on their Xbox console after boot (no shell audio, no game audio, no app audio), then have CSS ask them to perform the following steps:

Cold reboot the console

OR

Go to Audio settings on console

Change their HDMI audio settings to the highest supported uncompressed channel count for their equipment

Switch back to the desired format

Audio should be restored

My Games and Apps

We are tracking the video corruption issue with Youtube and Netflix 4k playback.

Profile Color

Sometimes users may encounter the incorrect Profile color when powering on the console.

Clubs

Invited Users to the Xbox Club no longer needs to accept the request twice within a Club.

My Games and Apps

Additional fixes for an issue in which switching from media apps such as Youtube/Hulu to a game or from a game to a media app would crash the console.

Notifications

Users will now receive notification in Alerts when others commented in their post.
