Windows 10: Newest Windows update has completely bricked my computer. Is there any hope for me?

Hello, I am desperate for help. Microsoft "support" has told has no known solution. Thank youIssue:Since the latest Windows update, my computer will not turn on.When attempting to power on, I receive the following error:"Boot Error: Couldn't find a bootable operating system. Check the Boot Configuration to try to fix this"Support told me to download a "Surface Recovery Image Download" from the website and extract the contents onto a 32gb Thumbdrive. I followed the instruction to boot up the computer with the thumdrive and select the "recovery option"The computer begins to restart/recover proc

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Windows 10 "Couldn't complete updates"

Thanks for the update and response.

I suggest you to go to Windows services and restart the Windows Update service and check if it helps. Follow the below steps to do so.

Steps:-

• Press Windows Key + R and type “services.msc” (without quotes)
• Hit Enter.
• Search for Windows Update service in the list.
• Right Click on it and stop it.
• Again right click on it and start it.

Complete computer disfunction

have u tried installing the complete set of Nforce4 drivers??? could be a problem with the hardware acceleration (maybe) idk its kinda hard to diagnose a problem like this without actually being there & seeing what the problem is first hand.

the only thing that I can suggest is that you check your hardware compatability with the drivers - ake sure they are the newest & the most recent sets as possible for your hardware.

the other option i suggest is to update your Motherboard bios as it may have compatability issues with newer hardware.

Also I might suggest that you invest in a new power supply - running what your running a 650 doesnt cut it. that could also be the cause of the problem.

Id suggest at leas a 750+ wattage - dont forget that the 'older' hardware sucks up a lot more power then recent hardware.
