Windows 10: Nightlight not restored after screen saver pause

Running Windows 10 pro 18363.720 UK English on a HP EliteBook 8570W, nVidia with latest approved drivers.
I have night light at 63% with set hours and screen saver with 10 minute / "blank" active. Power setting for display is "never". External monitor connected via docking station and show only on that display.
When the computer wakes up after screen saver, it does not apply the night light setting. It restores as if night light was turned off. But of course it isn't because when I open the display settings, go to night light I have the option to turn it off, no on. Just touching the strengths setting slider will restore the screen to what I expect.

The problem does not occur when restarting / sign in .

Of course I can live with updating night light every time but I do hope someone has a fix.

Let us know what happens exactly when you try to set the screen-saver or put the computer to sleep.

I would suggest you to review he settings and check. Here is the steps:

To change Screen Saver:

• Press Windows/Start key.
• Type Screen Saver and click on Change Screen Saver.
• Select the screensaver from the drop down menu and click on Apply.
• Click on OK.

To put the computer in sleep:

• Press Windows/Start key.
• Type Power and click on Power Options.
• Select Change when the computer sleeps in the left panel.

Meanwhile, you can follow these steps to turn off your screen saver:

• Open Settings and Select Personalization.
• Click Lock screen, scroll down and choose Screen saver settings.
• Choose None in the drop-down menu.
• Select Apply.
• Click OK.
