Windows 10: No access to newly added files in shared folder

I have shared a folder with users in the network with Read permission only. When the new file is added to that folder, shared users can only see the file but they don't have a access to view or copy it. Is it possible to do it? If yes How can we do it?

You can put the files you want to share in the Shared Documents folder. Files stored in the Shared Documents folder or its subfolders are always available to other users on your computer.

Sharing folders over network - access denied

To troubleshoot your concern with sharing files over the network using your Windows 10 device, we suggest that you run the Shared folders troubleshooter and check if it helps. Kindly refer to the steps below:

Thanks for getting back, Sanjiv. It seems that the users were not configured to have full control of those folders you want to share. We suggest going into the Advanced settings of your File Explorer and adjust the permissions. Follow these steps:

• Open File Explorer.
• Locate the folder you want to have full access.
• Right-click it and select Properties.
• Click the Security tab.
• Click Edit to change the permissions.

Once done, try sharing the folders again.
