Windows 10: No Admin on my computer

I just turned on my new computer and mistakenly set up my windows account as a Regular User instead of as an admin. How do I update my existing login to an administrator, or create a new login to serve as administrator? Or reinstall Windows in such a way as to restart the process?I didn't realize that I would never be able to access anything at all on the computer because I get a Windows pop-up that says I can enter an admin login and password, but only really provides me with a "No" button, to cancel what I was doing. My computer is essentially bricked because Windows let me set up a syste

Provide us additional information to assist you better with this issue:

• How many user accounts are there on your computer?
• Are you using Microsoft account/ local account with admin rights?
• Were you able to local the non-admin account on your computer?

If you are able to log-in to the computer, I suggest you to try the below to check the number of user accounts on your computer.

• Press Windows + R keys from the Keyboard.
  
• Type netplwiz and click on Ok.
  

Check if you have enabled the Built-in admin account on your computer. If so, try to disable and check if it helps.

Follow the steps to Disable Built-in administrator.

• Press Windows + X key together on your desktop screen.
  
• Click on Command Prompt (admin) to open Command Prompt.
  
• Type the following command and hit Enter:

• net user administrator /active: no (Check for the spaces)
  

Restart the computer and check with the status of this issue.

admin rights keep disappearing!?!!

Hi guys,

I am actually having a problem at work that our IT department hasn't been able to figure out. I am supposed to be a member of the admin group. We are on a domain. The problem is that everytime I reboot the computer I loose my admin rights(no longer in the administrator group) and just become a normal user again. I have tried googling this and didn't get to many results.
I believe IT is just giving me local admin rights, not admin rights for the whole domain.

Any suggestions?

EDIT: It is on Windows XP Pro.
