Windows 10: No Audio After Latest Windows Update

I followed through with the latest Windows update, and I can no longer get audio to play out of my speakers or any connected headset or device.When restarting the computer, I do get the Windows boot audio; but after logging in, nothing will play audio.I've restored the system restore point, but the problem persists. It's very odd, as the Windows boot audio plays upon booting up - which has me believe it's a driver or software issue - but I'm not sure what it could be as everything is "up-to-date" or "properly installed".Any suggestions or help here would be wonderful, as this audio issue cause

Your audio may not be working after the latest update if you have outdated audio drivers. Have you tried updating them? You may check your driver manufacturer's website for the latest drivers for it.

You may run the Playing Audio Troubleshooter to find and repair problems with playing sound.

• Right-click the Start icon, then select Control Panel.
  
• Choose the Large icons option from the View by drop-down list found on the upper-right part of the Control Panel window.
  
• Locate then select Troubleshooting.
  
• Click View all from the left pane.
  
• Locate and click Playing Audio to run the troubleshooter then follow the next steps.

• What is the complete error message of this issue?
• When are you facing this issue with the drivers?
• Have you installed all the latest drivers from the manufacturer's website for current operating system?

I suggest you to uninstall the existing Audio drivers, download the latest drivers for your device and check if it helps.

Step 1: Uninstall the Audio driver.

Steps:

• Press Windows + X keys from the keyboard, click on Device Manager.
• Expand Audio inputs and outputs, right click on the driver and click on
  Uninstall.

Step 2: I suggest you to manually install the latest audio drivers and check.

Select the driver and operating system to download.

This issue may occur due to incorrect audio settings or corrupt or outdated audio driver.

Method 1:

Method 2:

If the issue persists, I suggest you to download and install latest audio driver from the computer manufacturer website and check if it helps.
If Windows 10 drivers are not available, I would suggest you to install driver in compatibility mode.

To install the audio driver
in compatibility mode, I would suggest you to follow these steps:

a. Download the latest audio driver from the manufacturer’s website and save it on your local disk.

b. Right-click on the setup file of the driver and select “Properties”.

c. Select “Compatibility” Tab.

d. Place a check mark next to “Run this program in Compatibility mode” and
select latest Windows version from the drop down list.

e. Let the driver install and then check the functionality.
