Windows 10: No audio after Update KB4551762 on 3/13/20

Discus and support No audio after Update KB4551762 on 3/13/20 in Windows 10 Installation and Upgrade to solve the problem; The other day, my computer did an "update and restart" Since then, i have had no audio.     No audio after Update KB4551762 on 3/13/20


    The other day, my computer did an "update and restart" Since then, i have had no audio. Have tried the trouble shooter, updating audio drivers, etc to no avail. Also, the system is freezing alot and i'm getting "page is not responding" and page is having an issue" messages. Is anyone else having these issues? and is there a way to undo the update.? I have seen talk of a bitlink key - but do not know where to find it don't have it on a "papers stored safely with computer issues or a usb drive.

    FYI -- 3/12 Cumulative Update failed SFC

    Sfc passed for me, no issues. Win10 Pro 1909. latest updates KB4540673 10/3/20 and today KB4551762 13/3/20

    FYI -- 3/12 Cumulative Update failed SFC

    SFC failed on both PCs, suspect the KB4551762 update, is a bad update.

    Things were OK on "patch Tuesday", but Microsoft suddenly rolled out what I suspect is an out-of-band update on March 12, 2020.

    Hey Greg thanks for getting back to me so quickly, I went through your steps and ended up setting up Windows again (step 13). Currently my audio is working way better but it says that my Hd audio requires further installation and I believe is what is preventing
    me from my laptop registering a microphone. Any suggestions?
