  1. No Audio Output Device is installed PLEASE HELP ;_;

    I've been working with computers for a while but this has me stumped.

    Motherboard is a FM2A58M-VG3+ R2.0

    Not only do I not have any sound, I also have 9 unknown devices in the AudioBus which I have attempted to update to no avail, using windows update, various update tools, the drivers from the manufacturer website, etc. Pretty much everything I could think of.

    When I uninstall the unknown devices they reinstall automatically, and the device ID is weird to (HDAUDIO\FUNC_08&VEN_0000&DEV_0008&SUBSYS_00000008&REV_0000

    slight different from the ones people complain about online, which is always Func_01.

    Please help, I'm wondering if something is just wrong with my motherboard, cause the hard drive works fine in any other pc I put in with the exact same drivers. I'm doing everything I possibly can and it's really getting irritating now.

    Resetting is the last resort for me, I have to much data. I did a "half wipe" which got rid of all my apps, etc which I seriously regret doing because it took forever to reinstall everything, and it still did nothing for my sound.

    Could it possibly be that I didn't plug in the cables properly? There is only one HD AUDIO cable and and a pin-slot labeled AUDIO but I looking at all the angles cause I've tried everything I could think of.

    :)

  2. No Audio Output Device is Installed

    Hi,

    You will need to select Windows 8 from the drop down list while installing the driver in compatibility mode.

    I would suggest you to try setting the speaker as default audio output by following the steps below and check if it helps.

    1. Right click on the sound icon on the right bottom corner of the taskbar.

    2. Select "playback devices".

    3. If "speaker" is not set as the default device, highlight it and click "set as default".

    5. Save the changes.

    Let us know the result.
