  1. No Audio Output Device is Installed.

This error began after a windows10 update in May 2020. At times through repeated restarts I have been able to restore the audio functioning. In Device Manager 'sound. video, game controllers' there is no audio device listed. I reinstalled the Realtek audio drivers but to no avail. I restarted windows audio and audio endpoint in services, no luck. I even restarted the outdated RPC nothing. I opened command prompt as administrator and entered msdt.exe -id DeviceDiagnostic. The Hardware and Device troubleshooter could not identify the problem. I even tried system restore but that failed as any of the system restore points I established were missing and trying to restore to the windows update restore point returned an error about opening a particular file. I even performed a hard reset, I tried restarting without the battery installed, no luck on these either. Obviously my computer is pretty hosed up right now and I'm thinking I will have to restore the whole thing from the recovery drive i created when I 1st bought it but that is testing the extreme limits of my ability. Any suggestions or help before I have to go to that extreme step

    :)

  2. No Audio Output Device is Installed

    Hi,

You will need to select Windows 8 from the drop down list while installing the driver in compatibility mode.

I would suggest you to try setting the speaker as default audio output by following the steps below and check if it helps.

    1. Right click on the sound icon on the right bottom corner of the taskbar.

    2. Select "playback devices".

    3. If "speaker" is not set as the default device, highlight it and click "set as default".

    5. Save the changes.

    Let us know the result.

A screenshot of the Device Manager, Sounds section is still needed. Can't really offer a suggestion until I see what is showing there now.

e.g this is mine It shows AMD which the audio for HDMI, Realtek and Tranzport which is a wireless controller for my recording studio program.
