    No Audio Output Device is installed


    Yesterday morning I attended an online lecture and everything was fine. I turned off the PC and done some things, next time turning on the PC I have no sound, the taskbar speaker icon has a red x on it and when I hover over it it says "No Audio Output Device is installed". No input or output audio devices are detected in the Sound Settings or Sound Control Panel. They are however detected just fine in the Device Manager, under Audio inputs and outputs or, as in case of my USB microphone, under Sound, video and game controllers. I am not aware of any updates to anything taking place between the
