Windows 10: No bass on Windows 10 - HP Elitedesk.

So the sound coming out of my computer is terrible. I recently switched from an older HP running windows 8 to the elitedesk running windows 10, and the same speakers I used for both now sound terrible (sounded fine with Windows 8). I even bought different new speakers with a subwoofer and it still sounds awful. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the HP Conexant driver without success. The odd thing is there are no sound enhancements when I go to uncheck them (screen is blank), also, when I try to just switch to the generic Microsoft High Definition Audio Device driver, that is missing as well. Help??? Microsoft wants me to pay for additional support to just be able to listen to speakers on my Windows 10 desktop...

is anyone else having problems with screens freezing on HP Elitedesk 800's G1, G2 and G3. We have upgraded a whole site and in particular these device types are having regular issues. freezing and Black screening.

bass not working on Windows 10 with speakers

Try these. My friend had a similar problem, I followed the steps in the first link and fixed it. Before you try these; have you updated your OS? It may be a driver problem.

Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 (Realtek) - No bass/sub-woofer

• Speaker Setup plays all speakers fine
• Applications do not play any bass through subwoofer (or really, at all)
• Custom built PC using Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 motherboard onboard audio.
• Windows 10 fresh install
• Tried latest driver from Gigabyte, Realtek, and Microsoft
• Windows "default" driver does play bass through sub-woofer, but audio stutters and is quiet.

Not sure what else is relevant to mention; I've tried following various posts with suggestions to fix this, with no success. I've been at this for quite a few hours and am very frustrated.
