    No Cortana, Search, or Links


    Somehow Store got corrupted and it took a long time to get it back as various fixes (WSReset, Powershell commands) did not work, because (as I discovered) I needed to activate Windows Firewall. Then I found no apps would download --- it was the Firewall again. Now the Store and apps are working but I have lost Cortana and Search. Clicking on them has no effect. How do I get them back?

    Also, which may or may not be connected, links to webpages have stopped working. For example, if I have a link in an advert or a notification in an email, clicking on it produces a 'we cannot open' notification. If I copy and past the url directly in a browser that does work.

    cortana using memory ofter switching off

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

    Even after stopping the Cortana, it uses the memory as the background services for the search in Windows 10 is linked with Cortana search services.

    Inbuilt search services are integrated with the Cortana services in Windows 10.

    So if you stop the Cortana services, it will stop the online search services.

    I have no idea what Cortana is, so I searched in the Windows 10 Search box. All I get is many responses that do not have a Feedback Hub link.

    I have no idea how to get to Cortana to find the Feedback Hub, so I Searched for that in Windows 10 Search Box. Many Cortana responses...no Feedback link.

    I am sure I can find it, but I have spent too much time on this.

    I am getting nowhere.

    Can you probvide a link to this Cortana Feedback Hub so I can work my way backwards and figure out h ow to get to it.
