Windows 10: No equalizer

    No equalizer


    I want to use the windows 10 equalizer, I have tried all the ways suggested and it is not there. My speaker system has to much BASS and it is hard to understand on some programs. It worked great on my win 7 computer but a no show on this one. Here is what I have - Do I need to or can upgrade to a higher version of windows 10. ( I tried to download the Realtor 2017 driver but it was going to take an hour ) Is there any thing I might try first?

    DELL INC. OPTIPLEX 9010 OM9KCM MOTHERBOARD
    NVIDIA HD AUDIO
    Realtek Download 6.0.8791.1 CAB ( installed)
    Speaker system is Logitech Z313

    Hello Karla,

    Windows 10 already has a built-in equalizer but it will still depend if your sound driver supports it.

    To access the equalizer, follow these steps:

    • Click Start, type Sound then press
      Enter      .
    • Select your playback device under the Playback tab and click
      Properties.
    • Go to Enhancement tab and choose Equalizer.
    • Choose the setting you like on the Settings drop-down box. You can also customize your own setting by pressing the ellipsis icon beside it.
    • Click Apply then OK to complete.

    If you're not seeing the Enhancement tab, we recommend updating your sound driver from the manufacturer's website.

    Update us with the results.

    No equalizer

    AM4 Build...Any Suggestions before I buy today or tomorrow?

    I would suggest equally good and cheaper motherboard, equally good and cheaper cooler, other RAM, different storage and definitely smaller monitor because you'll have to be at least 2 meters from that monster to prevent eye damage.
